I cannot recommend Study Active highly enough. From the moment I enrolled onto the Active IQ Fitness Instructor course, the entire learning experience has been outstanding. The course content is comprehensive, engaging, and extremely well structured, making it easy to understand even new or complex topics. The flexibility of being able to study entirely remotely was invaluable, allowing me to learn at my own pace while balancing work and family commitments and caring responsibilities. The learning platform was intuitive, assessments were well set out, varied and perfectly on-topic, and the overall delivery of the course was exceptional.What truly set Study Active apart, alongside its great content, delivery and flexibility, was the exceptional support provided by my tutor, Charlie.During my studies, I was navigating one of the most challenging periods of my life following two family bereavements and caring responsibilities for two very unwell parents. The pressure I was under could easily have derailed my progress, but Charlie's support made the absolute difference. Her professionalism, compassion, understanding, encouragement and commitment to her learners is simply second to none.Charlie was consistently attentive, understanding, and encouraging throughout my journey, even when I was experiencing many wobbles, with the pressure of life, and work, alongside study. She always took the time to check in, respond promptly to questions, and provide constructive feedback that built my knowledge and confidence. More importantly, she recognised when I was struggling and approached every interaction with empathy, patience, and genuine care, always going the extra mile, whether in writing or by call.At times when I doubted myself, Charlie's encouragement kept me moving forward. She celebrated achievements, however small, and helped me maintain focus and motivation during an incredibly difficult personal period. Her ability to combine high professional standards with such warmth and understanding is rare and deserves special recognition.It is no exaggeration to say that Charlie had a profound impact on my ability to successfully complete my studies. Her dedication to her learners goes far beyond simply delivering a course; she invests in people, supports them through challenges, and genuinely wants them to succeed.Study Active should be extremely proud of both the quality of its programmes and the calibre of tutors it employs. The course itself was excellent, but Charlie's outstanding support elevated the entire experience from excellent to truly exceptional. She is a tremendous asset to the organisation, and I hope her managers recognise the remarkable difference she makes to the lives and success of her learners.Thank you, Charlie, and thank you, Study Active, for providing such an outstanding learning experience. Where do I begin…Update : in their response to this review, Study Active have responded publicly on this platform and disclosed my name on 5 separate instances despite my username being anonymised (a practice they have not used with other reviewers.) the exact amounts paid, financial details, and details of our private conversations- all taken from my personal records and without my consent. Despite my asking for that information to be redacted three times, they have refused. I have now had to report them to the ICO. For context, I love learning, and have taken many courses through my adult life.This is the worst. The platform is glitchy. The learning methodology is utter rubbish. I had to buy extra books because the way you learn on the platform just doesn’t make sense.I read the reviews on here before purchasing and I will be honest, it feels like those people experienced a completely different company. There are no check ins, not even automated ones. They literally take your money and give you a log in. The voice on the training courses is like listening to the teacher from Peanuts “wah-wah-wah-wah” I had university lecturers who were less droning. This makes it really hard to absorb anything the trainer is saying because it’s all monotone.Now, now onto the other problematic part. I bought 3 courses together but for personal reasons and the fact with the useless training I felt I was never going to make it through level 2…they agreed to stop my direct debits.I have only ever had access to level 2. However, they have taken more than £1100 from my account, for a course they advertise at £699 and will not refund the difference. Despite my statutory rights, they just keep throwing the 14 day cooling off period at me as a reason not to refund the difference. To be fair, I should probably have asked for a full refund because it’s useless. Read the books you will get better knowledge. All in all, avoid them like the plague because they couldn’t care less about their customers or whether they pass the training or not.
