I paid World Education Services (WES) a total of $222 upfront to do exactly three things:1. Receive my transcript from Italy2. Declare that it was a master’s degree3. Send that conclusion to two schoolsThe breakdown was:• $115 for an evaluation• $39 for “standard delivery.”• $68 for two additional copiesAfter that, WES charged an additional $77 per school for any further reports. An hour after paying the $77, I decided to withdraw my application from that school, only to discover there is a $54 cancellation fee—for work that was already completed. This fee was simply to not email the report to the school.Questions sent via email went unanswered. The “help” button led nowhere. I submitted on January 14th, and they emailed that it would be done by February 13th, but it might be later because they are experiencing "high volume."Transparent? Barely.Worth the cost? Absolutely not.
I’m only using this place because there aren’t any other options. I was charged twice, and my report never arrived—no one ever got back to me. My package was returned and never delivered. I contacted them and was told they would look into it, but I never heard anything after that.In the end, I had to pay twice just to try again. I’m hoping this time it actually arrives. The whole process is frustrating, and on top of that they don’t send the documents. This is a horrible experience. I wouldn’t give it one star—I’d give it zero if I could.
Headline: I had a terrible experience with this company, who I now know to be highly unprofessional and untrustworthy. I would highly recommend you do not use this company. I applied for an Education Credential Assessment through WES for use as part of my Canadian immigration process. I hold a doctorate degree from a UK university. WES did not understand my qualification and produced an ECA which reported my qualification had no equivalence to a Canadian credential and thus prevented me from being able to apply for permanent residency. I was shocked and confused by this, I attempted to seek a re-assessment and some clarity from WES - they were impossible to deal with, refusing to speak to me, I was forced to continue to submit tickets and wait up to 2 weeks after each one for a response. Their call centre representatives do not know anything about the ECA process and communication difficulties are apparent. I eventually gave up and sought a new ECA from a different organisation. Within a few weeks I had a new ECA which made perfect sense and gave me the equivalency I knew I should have got all along. To conclude, I believe WES to be an awful company with whom I had a terrible experience and I highly recommend you look elsewhere.
I am very disappointed with the service and lack of insights from agents or consultants working in this organization. They should not be used at all with this kind of quality of service and if i knew I would have checked reviews first. My institutions sent all documents needed they even cced me because WES kept saying not received. besides they changed institution on the system to put the regulatory body as institution. I have sent countless messages, contacted useless customer services always getting the same response they are working on it, we have escalated your matter etc...
