This was a horrific experience. Firstly we booked 2 pedicure/manicure. The manager decided to change to a more expensive manicure (which peeled away in 3 days). So we called to let them know and have the nails redone. The manager was upset to have to redo the nails this time just a normal manicure but when I mentioned the difference in the cost of the nails, the manager got irate and said she’ll give me the difference but I should never come back. I found this confusing as it was their fault we had to make a second visit within a few days. I reminded her of this and she said because she repaired the nails we shouldn’t go back. I told her we wouldn’t after all they are all so unfriendly and unwelcoming. I would not recommend this company to anyone wanting good relaxation or experience.
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication and Service We booked two massages at the Fairmont Spa, expecting a relaxing and professional experience. Instead, we were met with disorganization and a complete lack of customer care. Just 20 minutes before our scheduled appointments, we received a call saying they could only accommodate one person. When I asked to cancel both appointments, we were suddenly told they could “make it work” for both of us—already a red flag. When we arrived, we were left waiting 15 minutes past our scheduled time before being taken into the massage room. Once inside, we were asked to get ready… and then completely abandoned sitting naked for another 20 minutes with no explanation, no staff checking in, nothing. At that point, we decided to leave. No one was at reception, no one acknowledged our departure, and no one followed up to check whether we had left or needed assistance. For a spa under the Fairmont name, this level of disorganization and disregard for guests is unacceptable. To top all this we were put down as a no show on treatwell! Would not recommend. This was meant to be a relaxing treat, and instead it was frustrating and disappointing from start to finish.
The lady who did the treatment is a very nice woman and she did a good job. It’s my second visit, the first time I thought it was not very clean, but I did decide to give them a second chance. However, as nice as the lady is, the premises are dirty and for that reason I won’t be returning.
Dreadful place with rude and offensive staff. Despite having booked an appointment on 11 May through Treatwell - paying advance - when I arrived for my 1pm appointment today, they told me that they were full and I should have looked at my phone as they had contacted me to cancel. I had and they had not. They told me I had to cancel to get a refund from Treatwell but they would not refund me. Then the woman walked off. Treatwell do not refund if cancelling with less than 48 hours notice. After calling her several times she reluctantly returned and then cancelled - giving themselves a good review! advising that Treatwell will be in touch and refund me. I am badly let down by this appalling service but doesn't look as though they will care much. Such rudeness
