I tried to modify dates, but the customer service rep said they couldn't do it and they were unable to do it with the hotel rep, even though the dates were available. They advised me to cancel and rebook myself, and when I did so, exactly what I worried about happened and the dates I had previously booked (some of which were included in the rebooking) were immediately unavailable, even when I tried to rebook the exact dates). So I will not book with them. They offered nothing for the inconvenience either.

It only works when you dont need to change bookings. There is no support and the buiness opertaing model is to ensure that users are unable to seek refunds and cancel bookings despite their online helps screens suggesting otherwise. Their is no Customer Service and No staff to help.
My first reservation date was messed up and that was ALL MY FAULT. I did an online "chat" and was told I would hear something within 24-48 hours IF I could change my date of stay. I NEVER heard back and ended up calling the hotel directly and they were AMAZING. However, something came up and I needed to cancel.....It was the biggest pain in the BUTT ever. The hotel's 800 number couldn't help and Hotels.com said they couldn't help. Again, a phone call directly to the local hotel was all it took after feeling like a ping pong ball. I WILL NEVER use Hotels.com (aka: Expedia) EVER AGAIN! I MEAN NEVER! P.S. I lost 100.00......lesson learned.
Please think twice before booking through third party websites like hotels.com. If you need to cancel for any reason it is better to book through the hotel itself . They have no way of helping if you don’t book directly. I learned a great lesson and will never use this website again.
