Specsavers delivers high-quality, affordable optical and hearing care including home visits.
The efficient testing as well as quick retrieval of the specs allowed the transition into wearing glasses feel smooth and uncomplicated. As well as feedback when choosing among the different variety of specs which allowed better decision making although the glasses i got were not in the colour i was hoping for I found something that was better and truly surpassed my expectations.
I had a really bad experience in the Abbeycentre store last week. I'd recently bought 2 pairs of glasses in there, and I'd been given their golden ticket offer to receive another pair half price, I got these in their city centre branch, but I wasn't in love with them, so had plans to change them under their 'no quibble' guarantee. My friend had recently bought glasses in their city centre store too, but she was unhappy with them, so she was told in the Abbeycentre branch she could change them there.I happened to be passing with her so having my glasses with me I enquired if I could do the same. It wasn't a huge deal as I was happy to change them in town, but since I was there I thought I'd ask thinking it wouldn't be an issue, as my friend with me was doing the same thing. The receptionist was perfectly nice but looked a bit unsure when I asked. I told her it wasn't a problem if I wasn't able to. She then called upon Leo. He eyed me suspiciously, as if I was trying to pull a fast one. Then spoke to me very rudely, embarrassing me in front of the waiting queue. I felt extremely flustered. He said to me 'so you got your anti glare for free in the other store?' I told him I had, as I'd recently bought the other 2 pairs and they'd kindly offered me it for free in the belfast store. He looked at me coldly and said 'well I'm just telling you now, i won't be giving you it for free'.I asked if it was an issue, because of his attitude towards me. He said it wasn't, but then but was so rude that it obviously was. I pointed out that I had only been asking, and my friend was already in front of me with a lovely member of staff doing the same thing I was. Yet here I was being treated as if I had stolen the glasses and had been looking for a refund!Eventually on the verge of tears I walked out. My experience has made me consider leaving specsavers altogether, but I've been with them for years, and the staff in the Belfast store are wonderful. I'll just never use the Abbeycentre branch again.
